Weirs was formed in February 1972 and has, through time and experience, grown to become a specialist construction company.

 The three main divisions are Tarmac, Road Marking and Soft Play Surfacing.

Today, the main client base is Local Authorities, Property Management Agents, large Building & Civil Engineering Companies and Direct Commercial clients.

Weirs generally operate in the West Central Belt of Scotland. We will, however, carry out works out with this core area,

 depending on the client and the nature of the works involved.

John Weir heads up the group. After joining the company in 1991 his initial role was to develop new work and increase profit margin.

 This lead to new systems of work & practice being introduced and Weirs were awarded Investor in People status in June 2001.

He runs the business on a day to day basis with full control over all operations and company finances. Growth has continued with projected 2005/06 turnover of £1,000,000
